Vegetables: especially green leafy vegetables as these are high in calcium

Beans: hummus (Sabra brand is best flavor and texture), black beans, kidney beans, baked beans, etc

Meat (non-breaded): Turkey, Chicken, Beef, Fish, Delusso Deli meats at Hy Vee, Tyson’s Chicken Nuggets, Van De Kamp’s fish sticks are okay

Grains and Starches: Rotella breads, Panne Provinico‐Artisian Bread (organic), Hy Vee breads, Rice, Most Pasta (watch for soy fillers), Potatoes

Sun Butter and Natural Peanut Butters: good alternative for peanut butter (Jif Natural, Skippys natural)

ENJOY LIFE food products: (cereals, breads/bagels, snack bars, chocolate bars/chips) are free of top 8 common food allergens, and can be purchased at HyVee, Akins, Red Clover, Open Harvest, Whole Foods, Target

Kinnikinnick products: (breads, buns, muffins) are gluten, milk and soy free purchased at Hy‐Vee Health Market, Akins or Red Clover

Whole Foods and Trader Joes: Each has a variety of dairy/soy free products

Arby’s www.arbys.com – Market Fresh Turkey and Swiss Wrap (no cheese) (no sandwich bread ‐contains soy), Reuben without cheese
Burger King www.bk.com – crispy chicken patty, spicy chicken patty, chicken nuggets, home style chicken strips (not tendercrisp chicken), whopper junior without mayo, sesame seed bun, artisian bread Side Salad with vinaigrette dressing, fries, english muffin, hashbrowns, southwest potatoes, bacon, ham and sausage.
Buffalo Wild Wings www.buffalowildwings.com – buffalo or traditional chicken wings with following sauces: mango habenero sauce, honey BBQ, Sweet BBQ, Mild, Medium, and hot sauces, wild wing sauce, spicy garlic.
Cheese Cake Factory Many ingredients and dishes are made fresh so could do about anything. Angel hair pasta with chicken, Evelyns favorite pasta with some slight modifications.
Chili’s www.chilis.com – allergen sheets under the menu tab. Classic sirloin (plain) or Flame Grilled Ribeye (plain), Margarita grilled Chicken and fresh mex bowl without tortilla strips. Bacon Burger or Oldtimer burger w/o cheese.. Caribbean salad with chicken only, House salad w/o croutons, dressing or cheese, SanteFe Chicken salad. Safe dressings are citrus balsamic vinaigrette, honey lime, honey mustard and and santa fe. Sides: corn on the cob (with nothing on it), seasonal veggies with nothing on them, broccoli, black beans, mandarin oranges
Chipolte www.chipolte.com – they will be very careful if you let them know you have allergies. Ingredients are all separate so you can just leave off sour cream and cheese. Add guacamole (extra charge) for additional calories and good fat. Meats are okay, NO soft flour tortilla (contains soy)
Dish Menu changes so talk with waiters about choices. Owner had a child with MSPI so puts a couple of choices on the menu, but they are also friendly to talk to if you have questions.
Famous Dave’s www.famousdaves.com – Country roasted chicken or grilled chicken breast . Georgia mustard sauce, texas pit sauce, potato salad, french fries, green beans, coleslaw
Fireworks Steak and some plain steamed veggies. They are easy to work with.
Hu Hot www.huhot.com – can print the allergen list and take it with you, several sauces are safe. Rice, pad tai and Chinese noodles are safe, all meats except Krab. When they take your food bowl, let them know you have an allergy. They will clean of the cooking area and use clean utensils only on your food.
