COVID-19 VACCINE REGISTRY INFORMATION

COVID-19 Vaccination is safe and effective and strongly recommended by the physicians at Complete Children’s Health.

Patients 12 years and up qualify for COVID-19 vaccination.  Contraindications include allergy to polyethylene glycol (PEG) and polysorbate.

Patients 12-17 must receive the Pfizer vaccination as it is the only vaccine indicated for patients in that age group.  The Pfizer vaccine is a 2 vaccine series separated by 3 weeks.

Patients 18 and older may receive the Moderna or Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

  • Moderna is a 2 vaccine series separated by 4 weeks
  • Johnson and Johnson is a single dose vaccine. Due to the very rare (less than 1 in 1million) risk of a rare form of blood clot women ages 18-50 should receive an alternative to the J&J vaccine if one is available to them.

For more information regarding who should get the vaccine and answers to common questions regarding the vaccine please go to:
