Dear friends and families,

After over 32 years of being in private practice, I am writing to notify you all of my intentions to start slowing down in seeing patients in the office, going to a part-time status starting January 1, 2022.  I have taken an assistant professor of pediatric faculty position at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where I will be teaching medical students, pediatric residents, infectious disease fellows and physicians themselves in primary care practice about conducting industry based clinical trials, such as vaccine and drug research.  What I value about this opportunity is the ability to give back to an institution where I started my medical training and contributing to the advancement of science and research through teaching to others.

This has not been an easy decision for me to make as there are so many wonderful children I have had the privilege to care for, and the families that have entrusted me in that care.

A little over 26 years ago, our family moved back home to Nebraska after having spent nine years in Seattle, Washington where I had trained in pediatrics and was in private practice for six years.  It was time to finish raising our family around family.  Thus, Complete Children’s Health was started and since then, we as the providers of CCH have had the opportunity to care for your children.  For that, we are very thankful and grateful you have trusted us in that care.

Starting in January, I will be in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays, along with still seeing patients at times in our evening and weekend clinics.  Due to my decreased availability, this may necessitate the need to see one of the many other wonderful providers at CCH, especially at times of an acute illness.  Many of you have already seen one of those providers at one time or another and I appreciate your trust in their care as well.

In August 2022, we will have the privilege of having Dr. Alex Keating joining our practice, working at our south office location on 40th/Yankee Hill.  She is the daughter of Dr. Sue Springman who works at our east office location on 84th/Holdrege Street, and we are excited for her to start working with us!

Again, thank you for the honor and privilege of entrusting the care of your children to me and our CCH family.  This is not a “good-bye” just quite yet but certainly a change that I wanted you to all be aware of going forward.

Best regards,

Dr. Brad Brabec
