As part of our commitment to encourage and promote breastfeeding in our community, Complete Children’s Health offers a wide variety of services to help new mothers and their babies get every benefit from nursing.

Our team includes Michelle Lingenfelter, Nurse Practitioner and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Jamie Jeffrey, Nurse Practitioner and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and Melissa Folsom,

Personalized Breastfeeding Classes
These classes are one-on-one in our office at 40th and Pine Lake Road. This hour long class emphasizes that making milk is easy, breastfeeding is comfortable and help if needed, is available. Taught by International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Melissa Folsom. Weekday morning appointments are available. The cost is $20. Call us at 465-5600 to schedule your appointment. Currently these appointments can only be made by telephone.
Breastfeeding Classes
These classes cover the basics of breastfeeding and will show you how to get off to a great start. These one night sessions meet from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the 8201 Northwoods Drive location. Cost of the class is $20.00.
Classes start on the following dates:

- Monday, July 5th
- Monday, August 30th
- Monday, September 20th
- Monday, November 29th

Milk Matters!
Join a member of our staff Tara Brown, RN, AE-C, CPST, Her personal experiences breastfeeding and her continued education have driven her passion to continue encouraging, educating and empowering all breastfeeding moms. As a result, Tara began the Milk Matters group at Complete Children’s Health to support and encourage mothers with an interest in breastfeeding.
All mommies welcome! Breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to join us in a casual, inviting and supportive environment CCH’s Milk Matters,

Every year, the first week of August is recognized as World Breastfeeding Week.
World breastfeeding week is the largest outreach vehicle for breastfeeding promotion worldwide; it is celebrated in over 120 different countries.
The aim of this week, which kicks off BREASTFEEDING AWARENESS MONTH, is to increase awareness regarding the significance of breastfeeding, and to celebrate the importance of breastfeeding for the health of women, infants, and children.
Complete Children’s Health celebrates a woman’s decision to breast feed her baby as long as mutually desired.
